Ethical Naturals, Inc. will focus on several of its ingredients at SupplySide West which have distinct advantages over commodity offerings.

As vegan and vegetarian products continue to command more shelf space, glucosamine with shellfish origins may disqualify it from vegans or people with allergies, or those looking for eco-friendly alternatives. ENI’s GreenGrown Glucosamine is sourced from non-GMO corn, and is available in highly-purified hydrochloride or sulfate forms. The material is of the same purity as material traditionally sourced from shellfish residue, but the corn-based fermentation process causes none of the primary or secondary ecological damage from its source. The ingredient is patent-protected and certified non-GMO.

Cranberex serves as a high-grade cranberry powder which is clinically-evidenced to have the right potency of bioactive compounds to support its efficacy in urinary tract health support.

ENI will also be focusing on AlphaWave L-theanine for stress relief support. AlphaWave is supported by three clinical studies linking it to increased alpha brainwave activity and resulting relaxation and cognitive health benefits. AlphaWave is GRAS-affirmed and is widely used in beverages due to its high solubility and neutral taste.

ENI will also showcase Polyphenol-C, a non-GMO vitamin C with wide spectrum berry polyphenols from grape, blueberry, cranberry, blackberry, raspberry, and strawberry. The ingredient has grown in popularity especially in Europe as a result of ENI’s long-term analytical and R&D work on polyphenol sources.
