Microphyt will showcase its microalgae-based ingredients at SupplySide West, which are produced through the company’s patented cultivation technology.
 
Microphyt’s research is focused on identifying the specific bioactives produced by microalgae which target promising pathways vital to human health benefits. The company’s ingredients are produced in the controlled environment of eco-friendly bioreactors without the use of GMOs and pesticides.

Visitors can  sample gummies, tablets, capsuels, and softgels containing ingredients derived from Phaeodactylum triconutum, an alga rich in natural antioxidants including fucoxanthin, the omega-3s EPA and DHA, essential amino acids, vitamins, and minerals.

  • GamePhyt, a guarana and Phaeodactylum tricornutum complex clinically evidenced to improve measures of cognitive function in gamers. In one clinical study, 61 experienced gamers saw improvements both after a single dose and after 30 days of supplementation in reaction time, accuracy, processing speed, decision-making, and mental energy. The supplement was also associated with improvements in mood, sleep, and visual comfort.
  • PhaeOptim, a formulation designed for weight management. In a 12-week clinical study on 37 overweight women which also included exercise and diet regimens, subjects treated with the ingredient had significantly greater exercise capacity and cardiovascular health markers, MicroPhyt reported.
  • BrianPhyt, which is designed for cognitive function and healthy aging. According to the company, in a study on 66 elderly subjects, the ingredient was associated with improvements in long-term memory, increased attention and vigilance, reduced stress, and reduced C-reactive protein concentrations in the blood.
