InterHealth Nutraceuticals reported significant results from a recently completed randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study assessing the effects of UC-II in healthy subjects. The investigators concluded that, “supplementation with UC-II for seventeen weeks was well-tolerated and more effective than placebo in supporting joint comfort, flexibility and mobility.” The research poster was awarded first place honors at the 2013 Scripps Natural Supplement Conference and the research abstract will be published in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine.
UC-II significantly improved joint flexibility as illustrated by knee extension compared to placebo in healthy subjects. Additionally, UC-II significantly delayed the onset of joint discomfort compared to baseline when exercising and accelerated the offset of joint discomfort compared to baseline after exercising.
