Effervescent Vitamins and Over-The-Counter Remedies
St. Paul Brands, Garden Grove, CA, has introduced a line of effervescent vitamins and over-the-counter remedies to the U.S. market. The products are taken by dropping a tablet into a glass of water, which produces a flavorful, fizzy drink that tastes like soda. The first products to be available to U.S. consumers include a line of vitamins called NutriSeltzer, which the company claims are absorbed far more quickly, efficiently and completely. NutriSeltzer comes in three varieties: Multivitamins, 1000 mg Vitamin C and Kids A+ Multivitamins. Shortly following NutriSeltzer will be two effervescent over-the-counter drugs, acetaminophen 500 mg (AcetaDrink) and aspirin 81 mg (AsperDrink).
