Biohm Health, Inc., a company specializing in microbiome research, ingredients, and porducts, has unveiled a new corporate identity reflecting the company’s new strategy, which is focused on B2B solutions for the nutraceutical industry. Biohm Technologies, the new brand, will include a new look and feel to represent a commitment to advancing microbiome innovation for a wider consumer audience, the company reports.
The company was founded in 2016, by Afif Ghannoum, and his father, Mahmoud Ghannoum, PhD, a leading microbiome researcher. Biohm Health was initially focused on direct-to-consumer offerings featuring its clinically-studied Biohm FX probiotic formula. The product was developed around Ghannoum’s research on the relationship between fungi and bacteria in the gut, fueled in large part by the company’s at-home gut test kit data.
“Biohm’s data innovation and resulting probiotic ingredient formulations are well-positioned to serve a broader audience through a variety of channels, and that’s the driving force behind our shift towards amplifying our B2B offerings,” said Sam Schatz, CEO of Biohm.
The rebrand will include renaming the company’s flagship blend from Biohm FX to Mycohsa. The company’s microbiome gut testing kits will also be offered as a private label solution for brands in the health and wellness space looking to provide their customers with greater opportunities to build value.
The new brand identity will be unveiled at SupplySide West in October, with a booth in the new exhibitor section of the show floor.
