The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) has appointed Sauda Johnson as its new director of education and events.
Johnson is experienced in coordinating and leading special events, meetings, and conferences for Washington, D.C.-based trade and nonprofit organizations. She has previously worked with the Federation of American Scientists, America’s Essential Hospitals, Children’s National Bear Institute, and the Milken Institute School of Public Health.
Johson will facilitate CRN’s webinar and educational programs, and manage CRN’s annual conference for the dietary supplements industry, which will be held this year in Salt Lake City, Utah, October 9-11.
“We’re excited to welcome Sauda to the CRN team and look forward to her contributions to the array of innovative education and event offerings we’re developing for CRN members and the industry,” said Gretchen Powers, vice president, of marketing and member experience.
Johnson graduated from George Washington University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in sports, event, and hospitality management. She is a certified government meeting professional (CGMP), and plans to achieve certified meeting planner (CMP) designation later this year.
