Ayana Bio, a producer of bioactive ingredients derived through plant cell cultures, has appointed Jim Hamilton to its board of directors.
Hamilton has extensive executive leadership experience, as a former president of DSM Nutritional Products USA (now dsm-firmenich after a 2023 merger) and CEO of OmniActive Health Technologies.
Hamilton served in a variety of other leadership roles in dietary supplement, food, beverage, cosmetic, and animal nutrition industries.
In addition to his advisory roles he acts as chair of the board of Vitamin Angels, a nonprofit organization that provides vitamins to 70 million children in need.
“Jim’s industry knowledge and innovative approach align perfectly with our mission to solve many of the challenges the botanical supply chain faces today,” said Frank Jaksch, CEO of Ayana Bio.
