Euromed received a platinum medal rating from EcoVadis, an organization which rates companies’ environmental, social, and corporate governance efforts. The platinum medal cements Euromed’s place at the top one percent of over 100,000 companies rated by EcoVadis in the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals, medicinal chemicals, and botanical products.
EcoVadis medals are awarded to businesses that demonstrate a robust management system addressing sustainability goals, with criteria including environment, ethics, labor, and human rights.
“The platinum medal is a clear acknowledgement of the efforts that Euromed have been making for years in terms of environmental, social, and corporate governance criteria. Sustainability drives all corporate decision-making and generates maximum impact for both the company and our stakeholders, which is directly manifested through our “Beyond the Net-Zero” strategy plan,” said Edgar Rojas, chief financial officer at Euromed.
“As a producer of natural botanical ingredients, our business model is strongly aligned with sustainability and we must therefore lead by example in the pursuit of a long-term positive impact. Addressing decarbonization requires a bold commitment and tenacious effort. Our success reflects the significant investments we have carried out to put sustainability at the heart of our strategy, which also involves employees, customers, suppliers, and local communities, to achieve our goals.”
