Lisa Thomas has joined Nuherbs, a third-generation family-owned supplier of Chinese herbs, as chief commercialization officer.
Thomas most recently spent over seven years at Herbalife, most recently in the role of senior director of product development, marketing and innovation for North America.
Prior, she spent nearly a decade at NSF International, as general manager of dietary supplements and sports nutrition among other roles.
Her areas of expertise include product development, innovation, sports nutrition, portfolio management, and health and safety compliance.
Among other responsibilities, Thomas will grow the reach of Nuherbs’ bespoke extracts, which are developed in the U.S. specific to a customer’s individual needs. Nuherbs parnters with and guides customers to help with product development concepts and technologies which are outside of a customer’s capabilities, in order to develop extracts standardized to unique parameters, or to design an herbal blend precisely detailed for exclusive finished products.
“Lisa’s addition to Nuherbs will further strengthen our Bespoke Extracts capabilities and better serve our partners in ensuring projects are delivered faster,” said Wilson Lau, vice president of Nuherbs. “We are particularly excited about the opportunities to develop extracts and products that are outside the traditional tablet and capsules delivery systems.”
