Green Bioactives, a company focused on producing plant-based ingredients, and Harke Group, a distributor in the life sciences, chemicals, and plastics industries, have partnered to develop a patented supplement ingredient, GBL-Memory. The ingredient, which is a complex of L-Theanine and fructooligosaccharide, will be offered in countries across central and eastern Europe.
GBL-Memory is Green Bioactives’ first nutraceutical product, and reports that a human clinical study linked supplementation with the ingredient to a 9.1% improvement in tests assessing a battery of memory domains.
Harke Group will focus on marketing and selling the ingredient alongside a portfolio of other raw materials for nutraceuticals, and the two groups will each offer data and formulation expertise to brand owners and contract manufacturers of dietary supplements. The ingredient is suitable for incorporatin into capsules, tablets, powders, and beverages.
