Forty years after Herbalist & Alchemist founder David Winston created the company, the herbal extract supplier announced that it will be celebrating its anniversary of providing herbal extracts with preparations to move to a larger facility by the end of 2022.
Winston is an expert on adaptogens and authored the book “Adaptogens: Herbs for Strength, Stamina, and Stress Relief.” The company’s unique solid extracts, which are considered rare due to the expertise required to produce them, are in high demand, according to the company.
“I began making extracts for my practice because I couldn’t find the quality I wanted in the marketplace,” Winston said. “As demand grew it became clear H&A needed a businessperson to run it while I focused on educating, writing, and formulating. I was fortunate to find Beth Lambert, who became my partner and CEO in 1995.”
“It’s been such an amazing journey to work with David and this fantastic staff, many of whom have been with us for many years,” said Lambert. “Having the confidence of customers and knowing we make a difference in people’s lives and the environment gives me pride in what we do every day.”
The new location will increase capacity to accommodate growth in product demand and is expected to be operational in the fourth quarter, according to the company.
