Ingredient supplier Nutrition21 was acquired by Everwell Health Holdings, LLC, a newly-established health and wellness functional ingredients platform recently established by the private equity firm RoundTable Healthcare Partners. Nutrition21 is the first investment made by Everwell Health, with the financial details of the transaction remaining undisclosed.
In the announcement, Everwell Health said that its mission is “to add meaningful value to dietary supplement, food, and beverage brands by offering scientifically substantiated functional ingredient solutions that aim to help people look, feel, and perform their best.”
The brand will continue to pursue partnerships with more functional ingredient companies, with a focus on providing more funding for clinical studies, new product development, marketing, and sales.
Led by president Joe Weiss, Nutrition21 currently holds over 100 patents domestically and internationally for ingredients with claims related to glucose metabolism, weight management, cognition, and sports nutrition, among others, and includes brands such as Nitrosigine, Velositol, Chromax, Lustriva, and nooLVL.

Recently, Steve Rosenman was appointed to the position of CEO for Everwell Health, the company noted. Rosenman has over two decades of experience in the consumer health and wellness industry with senior leadership positions in sales, marketing, product innovation, and strategic planning, most recently with International Vitamin Corporation.
