Marking the first step in its global expansion strategy, Jost Chemical opened a new manufacturing plant in Kościan, Poland in October.
The facility will produce high purity specialty mineral salts intended for the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, nutrition, and clinical nutrition industries. Production will begin in 2020.
The new plant supplements the existing production facility in St. Louis, MO, and will help contribute to Jost’s responsiveness to its growing global market.
The opening of the factory will deliver more than 40 jobs over the next five years, with plans for expansions.
“This new plant will enhance our responsiveness to the European customers. It meets stringent quality standards such as FSSC 22000 certification and also features many sustainability initiatives,” said Jerry Jost, president of Jost Chemical.
