NaturArk, a supplier of scientifically studied and validated ingredients for the human nutrition, food and beverage, and health and beauty industries, has launched a line of clinically validated ingredients to address health applications including inflammation, pain management, and associated categories in North America.
“NaturArk delivers a strong portfolio of science-backed ingredients that address customer needs in rapid growth categories, including pain management, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, immune, and anti-microbial, with more products set for launch shortly,” said Rodger Rohde, president and co-founder, NaturArk.
“We look forward to serving multiple industries with this growing portfolio of branded ingredients, and have begun building a strong core of customers who value products built on a strong scientific foundation.”
NaturArk offers Endophyllene, a phyto-cannabinoid ingredient from black pepper extract, which contains the natural compound beta-caryophyllene—an FDA-approved food additive. It’s a natural endo-cannabinoid agonist of CB2, commonly associated with anti-inflammatory, analgesic, immune, and anti-microbial applications. Endophyllene is available in two forms; a powdered extract containing 30% beta-caryophyllene (ideal for tablets, capsules, and sachets), and an oil-based extract containing 80% beta-caryophyllene (suitable as a straight-drop in soft-gelatin capsules or liquid formulations).
Likewise, the company markets OxiTurmeric, a high purity turmeric extract, developed to concentrate and maintain natural turmerones, thereby increasing the intrinsic bioavailability of curcumin without having to use additional ingredients or processes. OxiTurmeric does not include fillers or diluents; and to the company's knowledge, provides the highest levels of curcuminoids and turmerones available together in one extract.
Another staple of the NaturArk product offering, MacroPAC-A, is a cranberry extract with a range of A-type PACs from 5% up to 20% without carriers and without fiber. Addressing immune health, and specifically urinary tract issues, MacroPAC-A is designed to provide flexibility to formulators and marketers, as it is available in 5% increments. Therefore, customers can develop a unique formula based upon room available, price point, and the final objective of the product.
Also, the company offers MyrLiq, a clinically proven extract from the resin of the myrrh plant. Throughout history, myrrh has been used as a fragrance, a flavor, and as a medicinal food. Today, NaturArk presents the MyrLiq extract as a cutting-edge ingredient shown through a published clinical study to display significant effects in two key areas: analgesic and anti-inflammatory.
