Cognis, a worldwide supplier of innovative specialty chemicals, and leading privately-owned manufacturer of natural ingredients, WILD, have signed separate agreements for Europe and the United States on global cooperation in the field of food applications. The companies will jointly develop new products and systems and will work closely together in the field of marketing and sales. There will be a particular focus on the beverage, nutritional bars, sweets and ice-cream industries. Moreover the cooperation agreements also comprise other market segments.
Within the framework of the cooperation, Cognis ingredients will be incorporated into WILD’s flavor systems and fruit preparations. The cooperation combines Cognis’ comprehensive portfolio of emulsifiers, compounds and functional ingredients with WILD’s expertise in developing innovative formulations and mixing systems. Sharing this knowledge offers both companies a host of new possibilities in the development and marketing of innovative products for the food and beverage industry, allowing them to better serve their customers around the world. As part of the agreements, joint technical project teams will be set up to better meet customers’ needs.
