Vitafoods Europe Opens Registration for Digital and In-Person Events

The hybrid format will take place both digitally and at Palexpo in Geneva.

Vitafoods Europe will return this year with a new hybrid format, combining an in-person program at Palexpo, a convention center in Geneva, Switzerland (Oct. 5-7), with a simultaneous online event (October 4-8), enabling exhibitors and visitors to participate from around the globe. Registration for both in-person and online participants is now open.

The event will adhere to COVID-19 guidance, bringing together buyers, suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors from over 110 countries. In addition to the digital and in-person hybrid format, a number of popular and new features will distinguish the event. Data-driven matchmaking will match attendees with other companies which have the right background, expertise, and goals both in-person and online. There will also be zones and theatres dedicated to new products and ingredients, as well as themed resource centers which explore research and products in growing markets such as omega-3s and probiotics. The event will also feature a Sustainability Corner, for industry education on sustainable practices in the nutraceuticals industry and beyond.

Vitafoods Europe 2021 will be coordinated in conjunction with Swiss authorities to adhere to strict COVID-19 public safety regulations, and coordinate with local legislation and guidelines in place at the time of the event. Additionally, the event will be run in accordance with Informa Allsecure, health and safety standards which ensure hygiene, cleanliness, and operational effectiveness. As part of these standards, all visitors, exhibitors, and staff will be required to adhere to safety measures which will be in place at the venue, which include: checks on vaccine proofs and negative tests prior to entrance; enhanced cleaning and personal hygiene at sanitizing stations throughout the venue; non-contact registration and food and beverage stations; social distancing and personal protective equipment (PPE) in line with local government and health authority advice (this may include wearing a face covering and using gloves or face screens in certain roles).

“Our goal with Vitafoods Europe 2021 is to combine the global connectivity of virtual offerings with the personal touch of in-person events,” Chris Lee, managing director of Informa Markets, said. “Feedback from the nutraceutical community has been the driving force behind the decision to return to Geneva, as many of us value the ability to meet face-to-face to support our businesses. That’s not to say our virtual attendees will be missing out though. Not only will all live sessions be available online, but our specially developed data-driven matchmaking service is back to help inspire collaboration and open up more opportunities to network with like-minded individuals across the globe. I’m incredibly proud of the hard work that’s gone into making Vitafoods Europe 2021 not only the best yet, but also the safest and most accessible. We’re continuing to work with the authorities to make sure that safety is the number one priority.”
