Maypro, through a strategic global distribution partnership with Asahi Group Foods, will introduce PeptiDrive-LNDP to North America and key global markets. The milk protein derivative is clinically shown to support cognitive performance and help maintain brain health.

PeptiDrive-LNDP is a novel peptide produced through proprietary enzymatic hydrolysis of casein, yielding a unique 19-amino-acid residue peptide called lactononadecapeptide (LNDP). Human clinical studies suggest that the peptide supports measures of memory, attention, concentration, and information processing, the company reported.

The ingredient is associated with the expression of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), a key protein for neuroplasticity and neuronal survival, and may positively influence nerve growth factor (NGF), neurotrophin-3 (NT-3) and acetylcholine-related pathways, which are implicated in learning and memory.

“Consumers are looking for brain health solutions that deliver and PeptiDrive-LNDP does just that. With strong clinical backing and a supported role in focus, memory, and attention, it’s a breakthrough ingredient that supports cognitive wellness at every stage of life,” said Abhijit Natu, vice president of U.S. nutrition.

“PeptiDrive-LNDP is the result of decades of research and innovation at Asahi Group Foods,” said Eiichi Kitazono, general manager at Asahi Group Foods. “Its unique structure and mechanism associated with BDNF and acetylcholine pathways set it apart from other ingredients. PeptiDrive-LNDP offers statistically significant support for attention, focus, and memory, making it a truly differentiated solution for cognitive wellness.”
