KitoZyme, the privately held Belgium-based leader in the production of vegetable chitosan and chitin-glucan, has appointed François Blondel as its new chief executive officer. Mr. Blondel was also appointed to the KitoZyme Board of Directors on November 30, 2012. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Blondel gained broad experience in the management of innovation driven companies through careers in the chemical and oil and, medical device and technology sectors.  He served as the CEO leading IBt, a Euronext stock listed company, and today he serves as a board member of Compagnie du Bois Sauvage, Sopartec , Nanocyl and a number of other companies active in the technology sector.
