Good Idea Launches Beverage to Address Blood Sugar Spikes

Functional beverage targets post meal slump and cravings.

Good Idea Inc. has launched a functional beverage designed to cut post-meal sugar spikes, with the aid of five amino acids and chromium. The all-natural Lemon Lime, unsweetened beverage has only 10 calories per serving. Additional flavors include Dragonfruit and Orange/Mango.

According to the company, direct benefits include getting less tired after a meal (the post-lunch slump), and avoiding sugar cravings. Cutting the sugar spikes is a great investment towards a healthy life and helps regulate the metabolism, Good Idea Drinks suggested.

“We´re on a mission to bring health to the table,” said Good Idea Inc´s CEO Björn Öste. “Many of the meals we eat, like burgers, pizzas, fries and even sushi contain fast carbs that turn into sugar in the blood vessels. In the long run this puts a strain on the body, and adding soda makes the problem even worse. We see a trend coming, where people replace their sugary drinks with water, and adding the functionality of Good Idea, we are at the forefront.”

It was developed at the Food For Health Science Center at Lund University in Sweden, and is brought to the U.S. market by Good Idea Inc. a Californian subsidiary of Swedish food & biotech company Aventure AB.
