Flavorchem Corporation, Downers Grove, IL, which offers flavor, color and masking solutions for the food and beverage industry, has agreed to acquire a flavor production facility in Kerepes, Hungary.

This acquisition adds to Flavorchem’s European presence and supports the production of Flavorchem’s liquid, powdered and spray-dried products used by the baking, beverage, confectionery and nutraceutical industries.

“The acquisition complements and extends our production and distribution of flavor systems, natural extracts and color processing to better serve customers in Europe and the U.K.,” said Ken Malinowski, president of Flavorchem Corporation. “We look forward to working with the employees in Kerepes who have already demonstrated their strong commitment to quality and food safety by having earned BRC Grade A and ISO9001:2008 certifications.”

Operating under the name of Flavorchem Europe Kft, the Hungarian facility will be a fully owned subsidiary of Flavorchem Corporation based in the U.S.
