Con-Cret, the brand behind the patented form of creatine, creatine HCl, has launched two new flavors of its creatine powder: Hibiscus Breeze and Orange Cream.

The new flavors reflect a broadening appeal and growth of creatine supplementation, among everyday consumers focused on performance, recovery, and healthy aging. Emerging research is also providing evidence of newfound benefits of creatine supplementation, such as one clinical study concluding that creatine HCl improved cognitive function and brain energy metabolism in perimenopausal and menopausal women.

The new flavors join existing lemon lime, pineapple, and raspberry varieties. Hibiscus Breeze offers “a refreshing floral profile with subtle tart notes,” while orange cream “combines smooth citrus flavor with creamy vanilla-inspired notes, delivering a nostalgic creamsicle taste.”

Like all Con-Cret products, the new products are certified vegan by Vegan Action, gluten-free, and devoid of calories, carbs, and sugar. They are free from artificial colors, flavors, and sweeteners, featuring Reb A from stevia. They’re manufactured at Con-Cret’s NSF-certified, GMP-certified, and SQF-certified facility in Plattsmouth, Nebraska.

“When a supplement tastes good, people are much more likely to take it regularly, and that’s when they start seeing results,” said Kristin Kirkpatrick, MS, RD, spokesperson for Con-Cret. “Flavors like Hibiscus Breeze and Orange Cream makes it even easier for my clients to not only take creatine HCl, but make it part of their daily routine. Plus, because the HCl form is more bioavailable than traditional creatine monohydrate, people can take less and this helps avoid the unwanted effects that creatine users may experience.”

Con-Cret’s creatine HCl is backed by eight U.S. patents. An independent study  found that it demonstrated 59 times greater solubility than creatine monohydrate and up to 70% greater bioavailability. Con-Cret was founded by Mark Faulkner, who previously co-founded a forensic toxicology lab that tested for performance-enhancing drugs, where he heard from athletes seeking a safe, legal, and effective supplement to support performance. Faulkner worked with a group of scientists to develop creatine HCl, which is highly concentrated to deliver creatine’s benefits at low doses that avoid water retention, stomach discomfort, and bloating.

“Most people don’t realize that not all creatine is absorbed the same way,” said Faulkner. “Creatine HCl’s superior solubility is what sets Con-Cret apart. Hibiscus Breeze and Orange Cream give people two more reasons to make the switch to the form of creatine their body can use most easily and effectively, without some of the common unwanted effects that can be a barrier to consistent, daily usage.”
