Animal-Free Beta-Carotene
DSM Nutritional Products has launched a high potency beta-carotene beadlet called BetaTab 20% S in an effort to expand its animal-free ingredients portfolio for the direct compression and dietary supplement market. Beta-Carotene is a strong antioxidant that protects cells from the damaging effects of free radicals and can improve the function of the immune system. DSM’s portfolio of animal-free product forms now consist of beta-carotene, vitamins A, E and D3, ALL-Q (coenzyme Q10), lutein and Opti­sharp (zeaxanthin).
