Alvinesa Achieves B Corp Certification

The supplier specializes in plant-based ingredients produced through a circular economy model.

Alvinesa announced that it is a certified B Corporation, after having met all social and environmental standards which represent its commitment to goals outside of shareholder profit, according to B Lab.

Alvinesa is a supplier of natural ingredients sourced from grapes for the nutraceuticals, food, and animal industries which are produced through a circular economy model.

The B Corp standard addresses the entirety of a business’ operations and covers five key impact areas of governance, workers, community, environment, and customers. The B Corp process involves applicants reaching a benchmark score of over 80 while providing evidence of socially and environmentally responsible practices relating to energy supplies, waste, and water use, worker compensation, diversity, and corporate transparency.

Alvinesa joins over 6,000 businesses globally who have achieved B Corp certification, from several industries and of various sizes.

“We are delighted to welcome Alvinesa to the B Corp community,” said Pablo Sanchez, executive director of B Lab Spain. “This is a movement of companies who are committed to changing how business operates, who believe business really can be a force for good. We know that Alvinesa is going to be a fantastic addition to the community and will continue driving the conversation forward.

“Their commitment to doing business differently will be an inspiration to others and really help spread the idea that we can redefine success in business to be as much about people and planet as it is about profit.”
