Alphons Philips Joins Sabinsa as Director of Scientific Affairs

Philips brings extensive experience in drug safety, consumer product safety, cosmeceuticals, and nutraceuticals to the ingredient supplier.

Sabinsa has hired Alphons Philips, PhD, MBA as director of scientific affairs.

Philips has extensive experience in drug safety, consumer product safety, cosmeceuticals, and nutraceuticals. He is a scientific affairs specialist with expertise in clinical research, drug safety, consumer product safety, cosmetic safety surveillance, regulatory data science, and claims substantiation across nutraceuticals and functional foods.

At Sabinsa, Philips will oversee initiatives to validate the safety and efficacy of botanical ingredients through human clinical studies and support global product development with scientifically established claims such as GRAS affirmations. Philips has a PhD in medical genetics and an MBA in healthcare management.
