Activ’Inside Announces Results from Healthy Aging Research Project

The company’s Silver Brain Food project supports studies to develop personalized nutrition solutions that prevent cognitive decline.

Acitiv’Inside, a French biotech company that specializes in botanical extracts, announced developments from three studies supported by its Silver Brain Food research project.

The company is collaborating with NutriNeuro and Bordeaux Population Health university laboratories to develop personalized products and services that seek to prevent cognitive decline in the elderly through a nutrient-rich diet.

Since the project launched in April 2021, three studies on brain health have been completed, with another seven currently in progress. Each study involves the company’s ingredients Memophenol and Safr’Inside, as well as other actives, to observe potential changes in cognitive and emotional health markers.

Activ’Inside plans for several studies to be published within the first half of 2023.

“Research consistently shows that what we choose to consume has a far-reaching impact across many facets of health and we believe that the Silver Brain Food project is key to improving the long-term cognitive function of populations across the world,” said Benoit Lemaire, CEO and co-founder. “With this research, we plan to develop a range of high-density, neuro-nutritional foods and extensive nutritional coaching programs that will help consumers to take preventative action against cognitive decline.”

Prior to the funding and launch of this project, Activ’Inside initiated and completed a pre-clinical and human clinical study which provided evidence that high quantities of polyphenols in the diet may significantly reduce human cognitive decline.

The company also conducted an epidemiological study on polyphenols and brain health which explored correlations between diet and depression.

This research led to the development of the company’s Memophenol ingredient, and became the scientific foundation of the Silver Brain Food project. The project has a total budget of €16.3 million and is planned to continue through 2025.

Activ’Inside has already begun to use the data it has collected to educate consumers through its Silver Brain Food app. By leveraging proven science and recommendations from a team of medical experts, users are able to access personal coaching applications that help to ameliorate cognitive health and emotional wellbeing. The app’s content will continue to be updated as more research is completed as part of the project.
