S&D Coffee, Concord, NC, has unveiled JUVA Roast, an antioxidant-rich coffee fortified with vitamins A and E. The product is made from 100% Arabica beans and enriched with antioxidants derived from the coffee berry pulp. According to tests from Brunswick Laboratories, JUVA Roast has nine times the antioxidant power of regular coffee and four to six times that of other superfoods, such as blueberries and pomegranates. JUVA Roast also provides anti-viral, anti-inflammatory and anti-aging properties, according to the company. JUVA Roast will be offered to a wide range of foodservice segments, including restaurants, colleges and universities, and convenience stores and travel plazas, as well as healthcare settings such as nursing homes, hospitals and retirement communities.
