Carlson Laboratories, Arlington Heights, IL, has launched EcoSmart Omega-3 an eco-friendly product that is made from highly sustainable species of calamari. Calamari have short life spans, breed prolifically, and only the mature are harvested. Because of these fishing practices, the product is a certified “Friend of the Sea.” EcoSmart Omega-3 is available in a Lemon-flavored easy-to-swallow soft gel, which provides 500 mg omega 3s per soft gel, as well as a Lemon-flavored liquid, which provides 1320 mg omega 3s per teaspoon. The company has also introduced EcoSmart DHA, which provides 500 mg of DHA per Lemon-flavored, easy-to-swallow soft gel.
