New clinical findings suggest Aminogen, the patented enzyme system from Triarco Industries, may help support measures of cardiovascular health, such as cholesterol and triglyceride levels. An earlier clinical study, published in the Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition, found that Aminogen significantly lowered C‐reactive protein (CRP), an indication of cardiovascular inflammation, by 10%.
The double‐blind, randomized trial matched 40 healthy men, aged 18‐45, according to body weight, age and resistance training and divided them into two groups. The first group was given 100 grams of whey protein four times each week. The second group received 100 grams of whey protein with 3 grams of Aminogen four times each week. Cholesterol and triglyceride levels were checked at the onset of the study and again after four weeks.
The results show that the two groups experienced significantly different changes in LDL and total cholesterol. The group not taking Aminogen had an increase in LDL of 18.7% and a decrease in HDL of 12.3%, whereas the group taking Aminogen had a decrease in LDL of 1.9% and an increase in HDL of 1.6%. Triglyceride levels also increased 3.4% more in the group not taking Aminogen. For further information: www.aminogen.com
