FDA’s Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition has appointed Philip Spiller interim director of the Division of Dietary Supplement Programs in the Office of Nutrition, Labeling and Dietary Supplements. The announcement follows the recent retirement of Vasilios "Bill" Frankos, PhD. The agency will conduct a formal recruitment for a permanent replacement for the division director position. Mr. Spiller has been with FDA since 1981 and has held senior executive leadership positions throughout his career. Most recently, he served as senior advisor for special projects to the director of CFSAN.
