Two independent studies have recently been published pointing to the efficacy of ReishiMax Glp® in maintaining breast and prostate cell health. The studies were performed by researches from Indiana University and Purdue University. The first study compared the biological activity of several reishi mushroom supplements, including the Pharmanex product ReishiMax Glp®, to determine their ability to inhibit certain factors of invasive breast and prostate cells. The study, “Biologic Activity of Spores and Dried Powder from Ganoderma lucidum for the Inhibition of Highly Invasive Human Breast and Prostate Cells,” found that ReishiMax had the most potent inhibition against invasive breast and prostate cell proliferation among all the samples. The authors also noted that ReishiMax was the only reishi product to identify standardized active constituents. Lastly, the authors showed that cracking spores by mechanistic disruption increased activity by releasing biologically active components. In a recent follow-up study on ReishiMax, researchers from the University of Indiana and the Methodist Research Institute found that ReishiMax may contribute to reducing invasion and metastasis of certain breast cells by inhibiting their adhesion, migration and growth.
