Both products contain the prebiotic fiber inulin. With crispy flakes, crunchy clusters, and fruits and nuts, LiveActive Cereal is available in Mixed Berry Crunch and Nut Harvest Crunch. The 10-calorie LiveActive Drink Mix contains 100% of the daily value (DV) for vitamin C in each serving and is available in Natural Mixed Berry and Natural Raspberry Peach flavors.

Effervescent Triple C

GNC, Pittsburgh, PA, has launched a new dietary supplement called Effervescent Triple C 1000, which contains 1000 mg vitamin C, along with B vitamins and Setria brand glutathione to support energy production and anti­oxidant defense while providing all-day immune protection. The formula is available in Orange and Raspberry flavors.

Purchase, NY-based Pepsi Cola North America, has introduced four reformulated versions of its Aquafina Alive nutrient-enhanced water beverage lineup: Protect, Energize, Satisfy and Hydrate. The calorie-free Berry Pomegranate flavored Protect beverage contains 10% of the DV for vitamins E and C. The calorie-free Orange Lime version, Energize, contains 10% of the DV of vitamin B, and about as much caffeine as a cup of coffee. The 10-calorie Peach Mango flavored variety, Satisfy, contains 10% of the DV of fiber. And the calorie-free Lemon flavored Hydrate beverage contains electrolytes, sodium and potassium.

Mini Clif Bars

Clif Bar, Berkeley, CA, has launched Clif Bar Mini Energy Bars, which are available in Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Brownie and Crunchy Peanut Butter varieties. At 28 grams, the mini bars are close to half the size of standard Clif Bars, offering consumers a convenient, organic, nutrient-rich combination of protein, fiber and carbohydrates.

Naked Juice, Azusa, CA, has added a new “Functional Family” to its lineup of fruit juices. Bare Breeze, which is offered in Watermelon Chill and Peach Mangosteen Bliss flavors, is fortified with vitamins C, B5, B6, B12 and niacin. Watermelon Chill contains watrmelon, white grapes, strawberry, apple, lime and aronia. Peach Mangosteen Bliss contains peach, mangosteen, white grapes, apples and lemon.

Omega 3 Fruit Punch & Fruit Chews for Kids

Barlean’s, Ferndale, WA, has launched two new products, Fresh Catch Kid’s DHA and Kid’s Omega Burst fruit. The former contains 100% pure Icelandic cod liver oil with all-natural fruit punch flavor, featuring 715 mg of omega 3s in a 1/2 teaspoon serving. New Hain Products

The Hain Celestial Group, Melville, NY, has launched three new non-dairy beverages under its Dream brand: Oat Dream, Hemp Dream and its first holiday-themed beverage, Rice Dream Rice Nog. Oat dream is a “good source of fiber” and is fortified with vitamins A, B12, D and E and calcium. Hemp Dream, derived from the hemp seed, contains high quality proteins and amino acids, omega 3 and 6 essential fatty acids, as well as magnesium, iron, manganese and vitamins A, B12 and D and calcium. Lactose and dairy-free, Rice Dream Rice Nog is one of the first rice-based Nog beverages.

In other developments, the company has also introduced the following products under its Garden of Eatin’ platform: Organic Pretz-O’s with Golden Flaxseed, Baked Whole Grain Pita Chips with Flaxseed and Yellow Corn Tortilla Strips. Pretz-O’s are made with organic wheat flour and each 110-calorie serving contains 200 mg of omega 3s; Baked Pita Chips contain 180 micrograms of omega 3s and 8 grams of whole grains per serving; and Yellow Corn Tortilla Strips contain organic corn and sea salt.
