Whether it’s in the foods they buy or the vitamins they take, consumers are increasingly turning to natural, clean label products to nourish their bodies. And what better way to meet their expectations than with fruits and vegetables? Available in conventional and USDA certified organic, Naturex’s fruit and vegetable powders and extracts are changing the market landscape by providing reliable natural nutrient sources through wholesome ingredients that speak to and reassure consumers on several levels.
Intuition. There’s no question that consumers equate fruits & vegetables with health and nutrition. In the U.K. for example, nearly 80% of consumers believe that fruit & veg health benefits equal those of dietary supplements, according to a Canadean consumer survey of 2,000 adults (September 2014).
The TasteRich line of NAT fruits&greens provides a range of familiar and tasty fruits and vegetables, such as apple and banana (along with some more exotic ones) that consumers see as intuitively “healthy.”
Nutrient Intake. Manufacturers that want to go beyond consumer intuition and answer quantifiable nutritional needs can do so through the range’s NutriRich line of standardized powders. The ingredients can be added to formulas to achieve the desired amounts of specific vitamins, minerals and other nutrients while facilitating absorption into the body. For example, the high vitamin C content in the range’s acerola powders can be used to replace synthetic vitamin C. The line’s full spectrum Moringa powder is standardized in omega-9, vitamin E, calcium, protein and fibers and can be used in a wide variety of nutritional applications.
Science. For consumers looking to maximize performance with proven ingredients, the company offers several fruit extracts with scientifically proven efficacy: Aronox (made from the aronia berry), which has shown to be effective in managing cardiovascular risk factors; pomegranate which demonstrates a photo-protective effect in vivo; and wild blueberry, which has been proven to support working and episodic memory.
Nutrition and Health Category Manager Alexis Manfre stated, “The fruit & veg ingredients are a great way to deliver natural nutrition in a new way. Like all our products at Naturex, they are carefully selected, gently processed and thoroughly tested. The goal is to help customers reassure consumers by offering them safe products that deliver nutrition and efficacy, but using fruits and greens as a vehicle.”
Visitors will have a chance to experience the full spectrum of the fruit & veg offer at Booth KK143. Featuring three HPP juice bases, guests will be able to combine fruit & vegetable powders including moringa, to create customized nutritional cocktails. The simple recipes can easily be replicated so consumers can create nutritious snack alternatives in their own home.
