TSI Group said it is affirming its global leadership position with a renewed commitment to innovation. “No matter where you are in the supply chain, there is something we can do to make life better for you,” said Peter Mazzilli, TSI director of marketing and business development, Ingredients Solutions Division.

“TSI Group is a multi-functional B2B business known for forging strong relationships with our partners. Unlike some B2B companies, we add value by identifying and satisfying the needs of the end consumers. Our solutions are designed for long-term, value-added impact,” he continued.

Known for its ingredients like myHMB, PeakATP, Hobamine and plant-based, sustainably produced GlucosaGreen, TSI Group’s strengths in such critical areas as supply chain management and regulatory approvals are instrumental in helping its partners stand apart from their competition. “One huge advantage to our global reach is that we are local to wherever you are doing business.”

The company also prides itself on such accomplishments as helping companies create different finished dose delivery methods, smaller tablets and more interesting ingredient combinations.

Overcoming Production Challenges

Mazzilli said TSI provides better ingredients, “and we make ingredients better.” That often includes resolving production pain points.

“One of our biggest advantages is we’ve been operating as a manufacturer for 26 years. Raw materials are generally produced to homogenous specs. There’s not a lot of customized production. Most supply chains don’t encourage a lot of choices or variety. U.S. buyers expect raw material specifications to be the same, regardless of how varied their finished products might be. TSI Group can step in to help when the standard choices don’t satisfy your needs.”

With this in mind, TSI Group is highlighting two sought-after areas of expertise at SupplySide West:

  • Optitab: “Some materials are hard to get into an ideal state for tableting. Most customers take whatever grades they can import and process the materials here in the U.S. With Optitab, we’re supplying the material from the source at a competitive price, then doing the handling ourselves. Our customers have exactly what they need when the materials arrive at their production facility.”
  • Optimized Ingredients: “This is a broader scope than creating tablet-grade ingredients,” he added. “Maybe the powder is too fine and needs to be milled for use. Or, perhaps an ingredient needs to be coated for time release. TSI Group then goes the extra mile by identifying ways to improve processes so materials are specifically tailored to your needs. It’s not that we’re using proprietary processes. It’s more that we’re really good at what we do, because we’ve been doing this for a very long time.”

Hobamine for Cellular Health

TSI Group’s form of the naturally occurring compound 2-HOBA, Hobamine is a better long-term approach to cell health because it mitigates the negative impact of damaging free radicals, according to the company.

“Essentially, it locks out the bad guys, creating a compound that is mere waste,” said TSI Group Vice President of Business Development Shawn Baier. “Hobamine is a breakthrough ingredient that could easily become the next new vitamin C or vitamin D in terms of consumer acceptance.”

Baier will present details about the Hobamine science on Thursday, Nov. 3 at 1:30 pm at the Supplier Presentation Theater Booth #3677.

The future belongs to the innovators and the pioneers, said Mazzilli. “You have to think big and act boldly. Each of us at TSI Group takes ownership over the concept of ‘Healthy Begins Here.’ We invite you to join us on the exciting journey.”
