Activ’Inside, a French biotech company specializing as a supplier of botanical extracts, will attend SupplySide West 2022 to discuss its cognitive health and nutricosmetic ingredients, and the research supporting them. Activ’Inside worked with 10 academic and industrial partners and a team of 22 scientists to create its products in a development cycle similar to the pharmaceutical industry, the company reports.

Its cognitive ingredient, Memophenol, went through molecular screening, six pre-clinical studies, and nine clinical trials, for which it has earned two patents. The blend of French champagne grapes and wild blueberry extracts is standardized to contain polyphenols, and is formulated for high bioavailability, improved neuroprotection, and increased antioxidant capacities. It has been the subject of human clinical studies involving participants who were seniors, students, and gamers, where it has been evidenced to improve neurogenesis and synaptic plasticity, thereby helping consumers restore memory, boost concentration, extend mental endurance, and boost overall cognitive performance, according to the company.

Its first nutricosmetic ingredient, Skinax, contains grape flavonol monomers, bioactive SuperOxide Dismutase, coated vitamin C. A consumers study on the ingredient resulted in 82% of participants leaving satisfied with the outcomes of their supplement trials. The vegan formulation is designed to deliver primary antioxidants to the skin, and promote the synthesis of collagen, in order to deliver a healthier glow and improved skin elasticity.

Activ’Inside will also promote a new nutricosmetic ingredient, Belight, a combination of grape monomers, licorice extract, vitamin C, and grape viniferin, which is formulated to improve melanin regulation and dark spots in a 10-day window. Dermatologists evaluating the ingredient found that it was able to reduce dark spots related to age, sun exposure, and pregnancy, according to the company.

“The primary focus behind all of our ingredient development is performing a comprehensive range of scientific trials that will show that our ingredients do what we claim and do them well,” said Benoit Lemaire, CEO of Activ’Inside. “To do so, we invest 20 percent of our revenue in R&D and, so far, we have earned 17 patents and published more than 20 studies on our ingredients. I’m excited to present these top tier active ingredients at SupplySide West and look forward to the positive impact new partnerships can have on consumer health.”
