BASF’s Newtrition will showcase the versatility of its heart-health ingredients. Vegapure Emulsorb, a patented micro-droplet forming phytosterol complex, is shown to most effectively reduce cholesterol compared to standard formulations. Plant sterols are the most substantiated non-pharmaceutical ingredient for cholesterol management and have been shown to lower blood cholesterol. High cholesterol is a risk factor in the development of coronary heart disease.
Vegapure Emulsorb, a joint project with the Aenova Group, contains a micro-emulsifying plant sterol ester complex that competes with cholesterol for uptake in the gut. - Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip Cookie Bites: This gluten-free cookie is made with coconut, almond, and oat flours. With added fiber, this heart-healthy cookie bite pairs well for a cookies and almond milk treat. Each bite contains 650 mg of sterol esters and 50 mg of EPA+DHA.
