California Natural Color, global ingredient supplier of grape juice concentrates, natural colors, and grape seed extract, will highlight its line of natural food and beverage color solutions designed to provide clean label solutions. The company’s newest addition to its crystal color portfolio is Pure Purple Butterfly Pea.
“California Natural Color is excited to bring our full line of liquid and crystal natural color solutions to the upcoming IFT Expo,” said Dana Osborn, marketing manager of California Natural Color.
“The recent NATCOL US Consumers F&B Colors Attitudes 2024 survey found that more than two-thirds of consumers prefer natural colors over synthetic, associating natural colors with concepts such as ‘healthy,’ ‘safe,’ and ‘good.’ We are always looking to meet industry needs with new solutions to our color palette so that manufacturers can create the visually appealing foods and beverages that meet consumers’ demand for clean, transparent labels.”
At the IFT event, food and beverage manufacturers will be able to see the difference natural colors make in applications such as beverage, nutraceutical, candies and confections, snacks and bakery goods, and meat alternatives.
Colors are available in liquid, concentrate, and California Natural Color’s proprietary crystal color technology.
“We are always innovating to meet industry challenges,” said Cori Fujimoto, color technology, manager of California Natural Color. “Our proprietary drying technology creates a unique crystal that provides an exceptionally high-strength pigment with no calories added. Our crystal colors do not require refrigeration, leading to reduced freight and storage requirements, and energy savings. These factors add up to cost savings throughout the supply chain for manufacturers, making our crystal colors an ideal alternative to traditional coloring methods.”
