Great tasting plant-based nutrition has arrived in grocery stores and restaurants across the country, and PURIS is helping lead that charge with its PURIS Texturized Pea Protein (TPP). PURIS has already proven anything is possible with its pure plant proteins, starches, fibers and whole pulse flours, and PURIS TPP is another shining example. With a focus on regenerative agriculture, true organics and the overall health of the plant, PURIS can help brands meet their sustainability goals today.

“First and foremost, consumers want food that tastes good. That’s where our Texturized Pea Protein comes in. By turning our great tasting TPP into something familiar like ground beef, it provides shoppers with another alternative to meat-based products,” said PURIS President Tyler Lorenzen. “If something tastes great, is good for the consumer and even better for the environment, it makes the right choice, the easy choice.”

As plant-based meats continue to make headlines, the PURIS team has created a variety of TPPs that can be used as meat replacers, meat analogs or as meat extenders. PURIS cultivates a spectrum of pure, plant-based foods and ingredients from organic or non-GMO plant-based sources. IFT attendees can try PURIS plant-based tacos by visiting PURIS’ booth.

The PURIS tacos are built with PURIS Pea Flour and PURIS TPP. Offering 20g of protein, PURIS TPP Tacos pair perfectly with chips, lettuce, tomatoes, and vegan cheese. PURIS will serve tacos from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. each day of the show. Be sure to stop by and give them a try.

“We are working with our growers on the farm level, which provides the food makers we work with transparency throughout the entire supply chain; something unique to the industry,” said Lorenzen. “With over 400 U.S. farmers across 200,000 acres, PURIS ingredients are able to make a global impact. That is something brands can get behind today.”

PURIS continues to support farmers at the ground level. In early 2019, PURIS took a bigger step to provide U.S. farmers with the tools to transition to regenerative and organic farming by partnering with MidWestern BioAg. PURIS will attend the Washington D.C. Organic Trade (OTA) Hill Days Conference to meet with lobbyists, lawmakers and food makers about the benefits of organic agriculture.
