Ganeden Biotech, makers of the patented probiotic strain GanedenBC30, and CapAble AB, a creator of probiotic packaging solutions, are partnering to create a telescoping GanedenBC30 LifeTop Probiotic Straw. The new probiotic offering can be used in both refrigerated and shelf stable milk or juice boxes, pouches and bottles.
The straws, manufactured by BioGaia’s subsidiary, CapAble, will have 1 billion CFU of GanedenBC30 (Bacillus coagulans GBI-30, 6086) and can be applied to Tetra Pak and other shelf stable beverage containers. The companies believe this innovation could impact the growing Children’s Beverage Market.
