FONA International, Geneva, IL, developer and manufacturer of complete flavor solutions for food, beverage, nutraceutical and pharmaceutical applications, has appointed a new certified flavorist and two new hires, all who work closely with customers to deliver solutions to their flavor needs.
Marissa Piazza of FONA has successfully completed her Flavor Chemist Certification Exam, receiving a unanimous recommendation of Full Certification by the Society of Flavor Chemists voting members. This honor caps more than seven years of required study and testing under a Certified Flavor Chemist. Ms. Piazza has nine years of experience in the flavor industry and supports flavor creation for FONA’s Confections team.
Julie Liska has been hired as customer development director. Her 20+ years of experience in the food and flavor industries provide her with a strong knowledge of the product development process, as she has spent many years in both R&D and sales.
FONA has also hired Terri Bell as account executive. Ms. Bell brings with her 10 years of sales experience in bakery, beverage and culinary segments. She also has experience in the flavor industry as a sensory flavor analyst and bakery technologist.
