Novel Ingredient Services, West Caldwell, NJ, has hired Robin Luo as quality assurance specialist. Based in the company's China office, Mr. Luo will conduct factory audits and assist manufacturers, as well as Novel's stateside quality assurance team, in securing documentation and other technical/quality data from Asian factories.
Mr. Luo is experienced with basic chemistry laboratory testing and using the food safety management system to oversee the production process. Before joining Novel, he worked for SGS-CSTC Standards Technical Services Co. where his focus was on hygiene, auditing supply chains to ensure they were cGMP-, SSOP-, and/or HACCP-compliant.
