Enzyme Science, Venice, FL, the practitioner division of Enzymedica, Inc., has developed Identify, a food intolerance identification program. The Identify kit offers a 14-day elimination diet and enzyme supplementation program to help detect common food intolerances including dairy, wheat, beans and fibrous vegetables.Working with a health care practitioner, participants complete a week-long elimination diet and diary in order to help pinpoint food intolerances or sensitivities. They then create ‘challenges’ in which foods are reintroduced with the addition of specially formulated digestive enzymes: Identify Gluten, Identify Dairy, and Identify Bean & Veggie. At the end of the program, participants return to their normal diet in combination with a unique digestive enzyme supplement, Intolerance Complex. The four digestive enzyme formulas comprising the Identify program, along with pH-Attain, an alkalizing agent, will be sold as standalone products enabling individuals to continue utilizing the targeted enzyme supplements once specific intolerances have been identified.
