Abbott, Abbott Park, IL, has expanded its partnership with the nutrition science program at the University of Granada, one of Spain’s largest research institutes. The facility, housed in the Business Incubation Center, will focus on the development of science-based nutrition products and analytical testing methods that can be applied in the European Union and around the world.
The partnership between Abbott and the University of Granada connects Abbott employees and scientists with university students and academic researchers in a shared mission to uncover new science in the fields of diabetes, obesity, lean body mass, cognition and early nutrition. Collaborative research also aims to develop innovative nutrition science products, discover optimal nutrition recommendations for the European Union and drive solutions for local and national public health nutrition issues.
