Symrise Flavors North America, Teterboro, NJ, announced that Prinova USA will distribute Kaden Biochemicals botanical products in North America. Kaden Biochemicals is a member of the Symrise Group, with headquarters in Hamburg, Germany.
“It’s an important agreement that will have a positive impact for North American customers who up to now have had to place orders in Germany,” said Donna Rosa, senior director, Consumer Health Business Unit. Stephan Hillers, general manager of Kaden Biochemicals added, “Customers now have a domestic contact for orders, service and new product development. Our relationship with Prinova is now expanded from Prinova’s existing role as a distributor of flavors to select accounts in the U.S.”
Christoph Schrader, director business development/sales, Prinova USA, said, “We are ready to target the entire North American supplement industry, creating awareness of the substantial functionality and purity of these ingredients. We are prepared to provide customers with all the technical and marketing information they need to create supplements with enhanced attributes.”
Manufacturers of supplements in the U.S. rely on Kaden Biochemicals for three lines of high purity ingredients derived from plant materials. Principally, these are Actiplants, rare sugars and specialty ingredients. Actiplants are available as standardized botanical extracts such as Actiplants Aronia; Actiplants Bilberry; Actiplants 5-HTP and Actiplants Rhodiola. Kaden Biochemicals’ rare sugar lines include monosaccharides, disaccharides and trisaccharides such as rhamnose, arabinose and galactose. A range of specialty functional ingredients up to 99% purity is also offered.
