In response to growing demand in natural products by Canadian consumers, Naturex, Avignon, France, has recently opened a subsidiary in Toronto. This branch provides current and future customers with the full product portfolio and the latest innovations from Naturex. Allowing local flexibility, the new premises in the Ontario region include a warehouse together with a sales office. This office is headed by Maxence Duprez, sales director, and will support the development of both the food and nutraceutical/pharmaceutical markets.
“Our office in Toronto is targeting the specific needs of the Canadian market,” said Mr. Duprez. “It gives us the opportunity to enhance the relationship with our existing clients as well as prospecting new ones.”
Naturex has also reached an agreement with the Polish Industrial Development Agency to acquire 100% of the capital of Pektowin, a Polish company specializing in the production of apple and citrus pectins, fruit and vegetable juice concentrates and, for a smaller proportion, the preparation of processed food products. The full completion of this acquisition is subject to the final agreement of the Polish Ministry of the Treasury. The acquisition fits with the group’s strategy to accelerate its international development, expand its product range and strengthen its industrial presence, particularly in emerging countries.
