Deerland Enzymes, Inc. Kennesaw, GA, has named Hilton Dawson chief technology officer. He is a long-time enzyme veteran and co-founder of the company. Mr. Dawson has more than 40 years of enzyme knowledge, which includes enzyme application research in the carbohydrate laboratories of Miles Laboratories (now Bayer Corporation), and years of management in sales, marketing and technical service in the Enzyme Business Unit of Miles Lab (Solvay). Dr. Qing-lin Li has also recently joined Deerland Enzymes and will focus on R&D projects, having previously served as vice president of research and development at Altria Corporation. Also, Phil Ronsivalli has been promoted to senior application development manager. He will be responsible for providing technical support to sales and marketing by collaborating with industry professionals to expand Deerland's knowledge of new ingredients/technologies. He is also charged with creating and implementing new product sales packages and prototype samples, as he leads the development of next generation products.
