HealthFocus International has released a new report, titled “Grocery Buying in the Current Economy,” which explores how shoppers are reacting to difficult economic times. The report shows that 35% of shoppers have started changing brands to save money, as one-third of primary grocery shoppers have been affected by household income reductions in the past six months. Various shopping behaviors are covered, such as: purchasing groceries on sale, eating out, cutting coupons, delaying large or small purchases, whether shoppers are reducing their food consumption or shopping frequency and whether shoppers are buying less organic or functional food.
