In a $12 million deal that will likely realize commercial and operational synergy, Frutarom Industries, Haifa, Israel, has acquired U.K.-based Oxford Chemicals Ltd., which develops, produces and markets ingredients and fragrances for the nutrition and personal care markets. Frutarom will integrate Oxford’s activity with that of Frutarom’s Fine Ingredients Division in attempt to capitalize on the synergy that exists between the two group’s operations. Oxford’s 2007 sales reportedly reached $14 million.
