The Natural Products Association (NPA), Washington, D.C., has partnered with SafetyCall, an experienced adverse event reporting (AER) call center, to offer reduced rates for services to association members to help them prepare for changes in reporting requirements after implementation of new laws affecting AERs for dietary supplements. In addition to this added benefit, the NPA and SafetyCall will also hold a series of education events throughout the year to help companies adjust to the new regulation and to ease the transition. SafetyCall experts have more than 25 years experience in fielding AE calls for the consumer products industry—it is also one of the few organizations with academic, professional and safety expertise specifically related to dietary supplements. SafetyCall’s medical professionals are also well known for their ability to add medical context to spontaneously reported incidents in order to put alleged events in proper context and recognize the inherent safety of marketed dietary supplements.
