Moroccan Extracts
Naturex has launched a campaign to highlight its position with Moroccan botanicals, a growing category. As the only significant supplier and processor of Moroccan botanicals, Naturex intends to build a strong identity for this area’s rich botanical resources and extracts made from them. The company plans to enhance market awareness of Moroccan botanicals through video, visual portrayals of the Moroccan herb trade, and other marketing activities. Naturex has already sourced nine new plants across the Atlas and Rif mountains areas. Currently, these plants are rarely used, if at all, in the dietary supplement industry. These botanicals might be combined with the classic extracts from Morocco, including rosemary, thyme, hawthorn and chaste berry, as well as cultivated botanicals like olive, artichoke and pomegranate. To make this endeavor possible, Naturex has a large extraction facility located in Casablanca, Morocco.
