Cargill Introduces CoroWise Plant Sterols in Europe
Cargill, Minneapolis, MN, has introduced its CoroWise brand of plant sterols in a non-GMO form to the European market. Launched in the U.S. in 2003, CoroWise plant sterols are cholesterol-lowering active ingredients that can be added to foods and beverages without increasing calories or affecting flavor or texture. They have been clinically shown to lower cholesterol and are approved for use in the EU in a variety of foods.
